Written quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued unless a different validity period is stated on the quote.
A quote is based on the information available when it is prepared. The final price may change if:
We will explain any material change and obtain the customer’s approval before carrying out additional work or supplying additional parts beyond the accepted quote.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
Booking and arrival times are estimates unless we expressly confirm otherwise. Emergency jobs, traffic, weather, access problems, supplier delays or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect arrival or completion times.
We will take reasonable steps to notify the customer of a significant delay. We are not responsible for a delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Customers should give as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling or changing a booking.
A cancellation fee may apply if:
Any cancellation fee will be reasonable and reflect the travel, time, labour or other costs incurred because of the cancellation. We will consider the circumstances of the cancellation before applying a fee.
Higher rates or surcharges may apply to emergency, after-hours, weekend and public-holiday services.
We will advise the customer of the applicable higher rate or surcharge before work begins. Where the full scope of an emergency job cannot reasonably be determined in advance, we will explain how the price will be calculated.
The customer confirms that they own, occupy or have lawful authority to access and authorise work on the relevant property, premises, safe, vehicle or other secured item.
Before beginning work, we may request suitable identification and evidence of ownership, occupancy or authority. This may include proof of address, vehicle registration, tenancy information, ownership documents or written authorisation.
We may refuse or stop work if authority cannot be reasonably verified or if we suspect that the requested work may be unlawful. The customer is responsible for loss or claims arising from false, misleading or unauthorised instructions they provide, except to the extent that we caused or contributed to the loss or liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
The customer must provide safe, clear and reasonable access to the property, vehicle and work area. The customer must also tell us about any known hazard that may affect the work, including unsafe structures, electrical hazards, aggressive animals, hazardous materials or threatening behaviour.
We may refuse, suspend or stop work if the site or situation is unsafe, unlawful, abusive or threatening. The customer must pay for work properly completed and reasonable costs incurred up to that point, unless the unsafe condition was caused by us or payment cannot lawfully be required.
If additional labour, parts or services are required beyond the original quote or agreed scope, we will explain the issue and obtain the customer’s approval before proceeding.
Approval may be given verbally, in writing, by SMS or by another clear instruction. Approved additional work will be added to the final amount payable.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, defective or worn hardware, poor previous installation, corrosion, structural movement, electrical faults or other conditions we did not cause.
Some locksmith work, particularly forced entry, destructive entry, removal of failed hardware or work involving damaged components, may carry an unavoidable risk of damage. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the material risk and obtain the customer’s approval before proceeding.
Approval of a disclosed risk does not exclude responsibility for damage caused by our failure to exercise due care and skill.
We may refuse to install a customer-supplied lock, part or security product if it appears unsuitable, incompatible, unsafe, damaged or non-compliant.
Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise, we do not warrant the quality, durability, compatibility or fitness of a product supplied by the customer. Any warranty we provide for an accepted customer-supplied product applies only to our installation workmanship.
This clause does not limit any responsibility we have under the Australian Consumer Law, including responsibility for advice we provided about the suitability of a product.
A deposit may be required before we order locks, keys, hardware or security products specifically for a customer.
If the customer cancels after a special-order item has been ordered, the deposit is not refundable to the extent it covers reasonable costs already incurred or amounts we cannot recover from the supplier. Any remaining balance will be refunded where required by law.
If we cannot supply a special-order item, we may offer a suitable alternative or refund the amount paid for the item, subject to the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Unless another arrangement has been agreed beforehand, payment is due immediately when the job is completed.
All Solutions Locksmiths accepts:
We do not accept credit cards or debit cards.
The customer must use only the bank account or PayID details provided directly by All Solutions Locksmiths. If a customer receives an unexpected request advising that our payment details have changed, they should call 0414 439 142 before making payment.
If an amount is not paid when due, we may take reasonable steps to recover it. To the extent permitted by law, the customer may be required to pay reasonable third-party debt-recovery or legal costs actually incurred because of the overdue amount.
Nothing in this clause permits harassment, coercion or recovery action prohibited by law.
In addition to any rights under the Australian Consumer Law, All Solutions Locksmiths provides a three-month workmanship warranty covering faults directly caused by our installation or repair work.
The three-month period begins on the date the relevant work is completed. The customer must notify us promptly after discovering a suspected workmanship fault and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where covered, rectify the work.
The workmanship warranty may not apply where the fault or damage was caused or contributed to by:
If another person repairs, alters or removes the relevant work before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it, we may refuse a claim under this additional workmanship warranty where their actions prevent us from identifying the cause or rectifying our work.
These exclusions apply only to the additional three-month workmanship warranty. They do not exclude or reduce any right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law. Statutory consumer guarantees may apply for longer than three months, depending on the circumstances.
Products supplied by us may also be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. The duration and conditions of that warranty are determined by the manufacturer.
The customer must notify us promptly of a suspected product fault and allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the product and assist with the warranty process before another person repairs, alters or replaces it.
A manufacturer’s warranty operates in addition to, and does not replace, the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, the customer may be entitled to seek a remedy from us as the supplier and will not be required to deal only with the manufacturer.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for an agreed purpose and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time has been agreed. Goods must meet applicable consumer guarantees, including acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with their description.
If goods or services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, the customer may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation, depending on the nature and seriousness of the failure.
The three-month workmanship warranty and any manufacturer warranty are additional to these statutory rights and do not replace or limit them.
Locks and security products are designed to reduce risk. No lock, key, repair, installation or security product can guarantee that every break-in, theft, loss, damage or unauthorised entry will be prevented.
We do not guarantee that premises, property or a vehicle will be completely secure or immune from criminal activity. This does not limit responsibility for failing to provide goods or services in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law or for loss caused by our negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, All Solutions Locksmiths is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss caused by:
Our liability is not excluded or limited where doing so would be unlawful. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded, or a breach of a non-excludable consumer guarantee.
We may create reasonable job notes and take photographs of locks, hardware, damage or completed work for quoting, service, warranty, insurance, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not use identifiable customer photos for advertising or promotional purposes without permission.
If the customer has a concern about goods or services, they should contact us promptly so we have a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and attempt to resolve it.
